Ting-Yu (David) Kang is a skilled Software Engineer with a strong background in computer science, full-stack development, system design, and team leadership. Currently working at Microsoft as a Software Engineer for Azure Edge+Platform, he is responsible for creating and maintaining Azure data pipelines that process 5 billion daily application usage events from 20 million Microsoft devices globally. He also generates analytics for enterprise customers and designs data monitoring interfaces to help engineers and leads visualize data pipeline performance and real-time service status. Before joining Microsoft, Ting-Yu worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Machine Learning at Georgia Institute of Technology and as a Software Engineer Intern for Homes Guest Team at Airbnb. At Airbnb, he maintained listing booking services and migrated checkout-flow logics from monolith to microservice architecture to ensure both smooth booking experience and development easiness. He also increased 1.1% global booking rate by improving user experience when facing booking errors and launched five A/B tests to quantify the impact of new features and bug fixes on 1.5 million users' behaviors. Ting-Yu holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from National Taiwan University. He also completed a minor in Economics from National Taiwan University and attended Math & Science Gifted Class at Taipei Municipal Chien Kuo Senior High School. With almost 5 years of relevant experience, Ting-Yu is proficient in Azure, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Research Science, Redux, Microservices, Frontend, Backend, Ruby, and Java.
